Microphone Shopping Guide

Look for a microphone that works with a PC or a notebook computer. Do not purchase a "noise canceling" microphone unless you can put the microphone very close to the person speaking.

Look for a microphone that is meant for recording a conversation in a room, not one where you have to speak directly into it.

USB microphones are the best.
